Greetings all! This is my first post since the re-branding and I’m so excited to share it with you.
I had been wanting a red plaid or tweed blazer for awhile now. There’s just something so classic and easy about the look of red on a blazer jacket. I wanted a mix of classic design with a transitional look that could go from dressy to casual easily. This is definitely a statement piece in my closet. For this look I didn’t go all out. I simply paired the jacket with a black camisole and some skinny jeans and my Aldo Prendalind shoes for a simple throw on look. Details on individual pieces at the bottom!
XOXO,
Lex
Jacket: Outer shell fabric from A Thrifty Notion (sold out now), cotton lining fabric from Walmart
Pattern: Simplicity 8749, contruction was easy and best followed by video sewalong HERE. The welt pockets and collar were the worst part for me as it was very tedious, with patience it all came together.
Jeans: Made by Me, Simplicity 8655 in a stretch denim from a local fabric warehouse
Earrings: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Aldo
I’ve been following your blog for a little while now, I love your sense of style, your choice of patterns and cloth. I think your idea for following through on 3 ways with matching items together is a brilliant idea.
