It's April! More importantly it's Earth Month and the month of Fashion Revolution, a sustainable sewist's favorite month 😁 Pop quiz: what's one of the biggest reasons people turn away from sustainable practices and habits? Answer: Money. There's a lot of misconception regarding the price tag sustainability (and sustainable sewing) brings mainly due to people thinking the word "quality" means expensive. Welp, I'm here to clear that up for you. The tips on the post are for everyone, whether you sew or not, but if you're a sewist or maker there are specific tips tailored for you at the end of each tip. Check out the post by clicking the link in bio and the link that says BLOG. Enjoy!
Very excited to be a #brothersewspartner and to be back in this space. I've had a lot of health ups and downs and have been busy with work and collaborations but I'm so pumped and ready for the next chapter focusing on business elevation, sustainable sewing and everything in between. Thank you all for the love and DMs for sure. One thing I've learned in this space is that it's important to be able to thrive on your own uplifting, encouraging yourself in every capacity to keep going. But that factor makes the love and support even more appreciated and real. πŸ™πŸΎ Can't wait to show yall what me and my #SE625 have cooking πŸ’•
Spring 🌿 Ushering in spring with the florals of course. Was so excited to finally sew something new for this collab with @allieolson.patterns and make this olive #Eliotop in fabric from @wearethefabricstore. I've had these pants about two years now and they're some of my favorites because 1. The fabric was bought second hand (from @athriftynotion) and 2. It's linen. Needless to say the pairing was the perfect transitional outfit for the weather here. Are you ready for spring? 🌿🌿🌿
Homegrown 🌱 #sponsoredcontent | if you're new here this is not a sewing account. It's a making account. Being a maker means our hands have the power to produce glorious things πŸ™ŒπŸΎ I can't promise this #daisyvest by @woolandthegang will be glorious as I'm only a part part time (yes part is included twice πŸ˜†) knitter but I'm excited about their new "Home Grown" collection of knitting kits. You already know I only do collabs that match the vibe here and the collection features simple staples with beautiful details, great for layering. Theyre also all made using their Shiny Happy Cotton (booyah. Natural fibers for the win). Check it out! I'll be over here trying to actually complete a knitting project for once πŸ˜†
